[He can't help the little smile that he gets there. He knows that Meng Yao is probably just not sure what to say to him but Bull will follow through anyway.]
You're an amazing guy who is clever and has survived against a lot of odds. That impressive mind of yours can cut through a fog and you've got a humble personality even if you are proud of what you know you excel at.
Plus, you're gorgeous. Dark eyes lined with long lashes, soft features I just wanna kiss. You're even making me change my mind a bit about having red heads be my favorite with how pretty your hair is.
[Seriously, he likes complimenting him.]
So, you wanna tell me what happened when he called you?
He was expecting Bull to respond, but he didn't expect him to go that far with it. His face burns and there's a sudden rush of fondness so intense it nearly brings tears to his eyes. What the hell had he done to get this?] If you want me on my knees for you, there are easier ways to do it. But I might prefer this.
[Of course Bull would ask thoughand Meng Yao sighs to himself.]
Huaisang asked Dorian to explain what you said. He said that you'd mentioned Huaisang humiliating someone and making them dress up in clothes they don't like, uncomfortable situations, and so on.
I appreciate it greatly that you never actually named names.
He asked if it meant me, and I admitted it likely was. I said you were observant and had picked up on these things despite the fact I never really spoke to you about my punishments from Huaisang or the things he's had me do here. I told them that the conclusions you made were your own, from your own observations, not from me.
Huaisang asked I tell Dorian exactly what he was like. I informed Dorian that Huaisang is lazy and unmotivated, that he dislikes violence and is rather delicate. I implied that Huaisang was largely only dangerous to myself--I truly don't believe he'll harm anyone else.
With the situation with Charlotte, I have no doubt that Huaisang didn't think through how Dorian would react to the situation, nor was he thinking in terms of who was Dominant and who was Submissive. He's a coward and will hide behind others and never get this own hands dirty if he can help it--but he wouldn't truly wish harm on anyone. He called for help, and perhaps Dorian overreacted himself. I wasn't there, I refuse to go near the place, so I can't say anything for sure. But I do know Huaisang, and I know that he doesn't have an interest in ruining lives unless they truly cross a line. [Like killing his brother. again.
he'll end up using this metaphor later with Xichen, but:] He's a child given free reign over a candy store and he'll eat himself sick before realizing he needs to moderate himself.
Anyway, Huaisang seemed pleased. Let me see if I remember the quote exactly of what Dorian said... "Bull doesn’t trust Huaisang and thinks I’m going to see things the way he wants me to. That I’m going to be roped into messes that Huaisang is more than capable of cleaning up, but he instead chooses to cower and cry and act weak. If I thought him just a pretty face and incapable of being grown and handling issues with business and personal relations, I never would have gotten this close to him."
I informed Dorian that Huaisang will let him see exactly what he wants him to see. I also reminded him that you care for him and that it's better if you care too much rather than not at all. I attempted to smooth things over by saying there would be no ill-feelings towards you, and that unless you directly acted against Huaisang that I didn't see any reason to be upset or angry with you for what you've seen.
Huaisang got upset again. "He can be skeptical, but he should have asked me, or you since you're the one he imagines that I've wronged. I will harbor ill will until he apologizes to me." Then he told Dorian he wouldn't call on him anymore to help if being cowardly and crying and weak made Dorian hate him so much. Then Huaisang cried and tried to leave.
Dorian immediately coddled him and assured him he didn't hate him. I grew exasperated and Huaisang dismissed me so I left and went home to Xichen.
Nah. If I wanted you to suck my dick I'd just ask you if wanted to come over to do that.
[The next part of the message he reads through and even snorts at how perfect Meng Yao's memory is. In a way he supposes he should be glad he's picked this side. Because a memory like that? That's a fucking terrifying weapon to wield. Scarier than any demon, that's for damn sure.
And that's an opinion coming from BULL who is TERRIFIED of demons.
Rubbing his chin, he takes a moment before he shoots a message back. He's not sure about Dorian's reaction honestly. He supposes he'll have to judge that better after he talks with him again.]
Well, I guess I'll just have to live with you sucking and riding my dick. The horror.
If you're not getting any from Huaisang anymore, I suppose I'll just have to sleep with you twice as much to make up for it. Do try to be gentle, I'm fragile.
[He's quiet a moment, considering what to say next.]
I know you won't change your mind about Huaisang. I don't think you're wrong at all. However, if you're concerned about Dorian, I do truly believe that Huaisang won't use him or cause him any harm. Even if Dorian were to anger him, I don't see Huaisang capable of doing much more than throwing a fit about it and crying a lot.
No, you haven't. I've spoken a little with Dorian to know that necromancy, at least, isn't viewed very favorably. But I think that's true of most places.
Where I come from magic is usually viewed in one of a few ways. Those who want freedom to do anything they want with it. Those who understand that it's a chaotic force that needs a measure of control. Those who fear it because of what people can do with it.
In the Qunari you'll see those who are able to practice magic are dangerous and unable to master this magic themselves. They are entrusted to a keeper of sorts. They are forbidden to practice this magic without the order of their keeper. It's considered an immense honor to sacrifice free will in order to maintain control over themselves like this. The Qunari honor them and the virtue is strong. But still their magic is powerful and can overwhelm if they are not controlled.
In other parts of the world there were places called Circles. These were places where mages could go or be brought to and people called the Templar would watch over them. A balance. Because magic can make it easier for demons to invade and destroy using a mage, the Templar could be there for the safety of them and others. Some of these towers fell when control was lost though.
Where Dorian is from, Tevinter, magic is considered a birthright. The stronger your magic in your family is, the more power your family has. Mages rule over the country and they've a history of magical experiments and so on. Especially on their slaves. Fenris, one of my lovers and the guy who lives on my floor, was one of their slaves. He has a special hatred of Vints I can't blame him for. I'm not partial to them either. Don't really hide that fact.
The thing about magic is that when it's left uncontrolled it can do all kinds of things. Create monsters, curse lands, raise the dead, summon demons, freeze people in place, silence them... It has it's uses for good too, I won't deny that. Damn good to have a mage on your side in combat. And I've seen some amazing healing done by mages.
So when Dorian rushed in and used that magic to aid Huaisang by freezing a defenseless woman and silencing her? Yeah, I was pissed about the influence Huaisang had had on him already.
It's why I told Dorian and why I've also told Fenris. Not only are they both my Subs and I live with them but I also love them. They have a right to know what I've seen after that incident.
I suppose it's advice I don't have to give, but I wouldn't feel right not to say something. From what I understand, this is the first time Dorian has slipped like this? It's something to keep an eye on to be sure, but I think it wise to let some of this slide, to an extent.
I fear the more you push at Dorian the more he might run into Huaisang's arms. It's enough to plant seeds of doubts and let them bloom naturally.
[It's certainly how Meng Yao would do things, anyhow. Bull seems a lot more straight-forward than that.]

I might be missing an eye but I've watched him.

Bull seemed irritated somehow, but Meng Yao could hardly pinpoint why exactly. Because Dorian was involved in all this?]
You’re upset.
May I ask why? Or what I can do to help?

There I way I can make it up to you? You don't need this crap.

My apologies, I don’t think that, aside from Xichen, anyone’s told me I don’t deserve it.
Perhaps you should praise me more. It’s attractive.

As I said, I don't think your worries are unfounded. But may I offer some advice for approaching this?
